Important Hong Kong Travel Information

We are ready to welcome you under the following:

Pre-arrival requirements

  • Travellers must have been in the origin location of departure for at least 14 days. If you arriving from a high-risk country, you should be a Hong Kong resident and have been in the origin country of departure for at least 21 days
  • Present a negative RT-PCR result issued within 72 hours and submit a health declaration form
  • Have a confirmed reservation at a Designated Quarantine Hotel (DQH). People coming from mainland China or Macao can stay at designated places (home, hotel or other accommodation)
  • If you are fully vaccinated, present a valid Vaccine Certificate and the vaccine needs to be approved by the WHO or by mainland China or Macao. This is required for people from a high-risk country.

Travel from mainland China or Macao

  • Travellers who are not fully vaccinated must do the following,
    • Day 1 - Day 14: Rest at designated places (home, hotel or other accommodation) and take a RT-PCR test 3 times during your stay
    • Day 15 - Day 19: If the results are negative, you can travel in Hong Kong and 2 additional RT-PCR tests will be conducted
  • Fully vaccinated travellers have to do the following,
    • Day 1 - Day 7: Stay at designated places (home, hotel or other accommodation) and take a RT-PCR test 2 times during your stay
    • Day 8 - Day 14: If the results are negative, you are able to travel in Hong Kong while self-monitoring and undergo 2 additional RT-PCR tests
    • Day 15 - Day 19: You are required to have 2 other RT-PCR tests

Travel from Taiwan

  • Travellers who are not fully vaccinated are required to do the following,
    • Day 1 - Day 21: Rest in your room at a DQH and take a RT-PCR test 6 times during your stay
    • Day 22: If the results are negative, you can travel in Hong Kong
  • Fully vaccinated travellers need to do the following,
    • Day 1 - Day 14: Stay in your room at a DQH and undergo a RT-PCR test 4 times during your stay
    • Day 15 - Day 21: If the results are negative, you are able to travel in Hong Kong while self-monitoring and it is mandatory to have 2 additional RT-PCR tests

Travel from high-risk countries

  • Hong Kong residents must be fully vaccinated and will be required to do the following,
    • Day 1 - Day 21: Stay at a DQH and undergo a RT-PCR test 6 times during your stay
    • Day 22 - Day 28: If the results are negative, you are able to travel in Hong Kong while self-monitoring and you must have another RT-PCR test

Travel from medium-risk countries

  • It is mandatory for travellers who are not fully vaccinated to do the following,
    • Day 1 - Day 21: Rest in your room at a DQH and take a RT-PCR test 6 times during your stay
    • Day 22: If the results are negative, you can travel in Hong Kong
  • Fully vaccinated travellers have to do the following,
    • Day 1 - Day 14: Stay in your room at a DQH and undergo a RT-PCR test 4 times during your stay
    • Day 15 - Day 21: If the results are negative, you are able to travel in Hong Kong while self-monitoring and it is mandatory to have 2 additional RT-PCR tests

Travel from low-risk countries

  • Travellers who are not fully vaccinated need to do the following,
    • Day 1 - Day 14: Rest in your room at a DQH and take a RT-PCR test 4 times during your stay
    • Day 15 - Day 21: If the results are negative, you are able to travel in Hong Kong while self-monitoring and should have 2 additional RT-PCR tests
  • Fully vaccinated travellers are required to do the following,
    • Day 1 - Day 7: Stay in your room at a DQH and undergo a RT-PCR test 2 times during your stay
    • Day 8 - Day 14: If the results are negative, you are able to travel in Hong Kong while self-monitoring and 2 additional RT-PCR tests will be conducted
    • Day 15 - Day 19: You must have 2 other RT-PCR tests

These properties have been inspected by relevant departments and should have enhanced health and safety measures.
