The brand operates two tiers of serviced apartments, consisting of Shama and a premiere tier called Shama Luxe. CEO Elaine Young co-founded Shama in 1996, marking the first introduction of boutique serviced apartments to the Hong Kong real estate market. Morgan Stanley Real Estate holds a majority shareholding in the boutique serviced apartment brand and Gaw Capital is a secondary shareholder.
